How to redeem Mystery Gifts
Anyone playing Pokémon Scarlet and Violet can get free things for their game simply by entering some codes. This is a perk that Game Freak has included in many of its past Pokémon games. The thing to remember though is that most of these free gifts have an expiration date, so you need to make sure you claim yours before time runs out.
Here are all of the current free rewards you can claim in Scarlet and Violet right now along with a step-by-step explanation on how to redeem them.

NOTE: You must be able to connect to the internet in order to claim these free rewards.
While in Scarlet or Violet press the X button to bring up the menu then select Poké Portal.
Scroll down and select Mystery Gift.
To enter a code select Get with Code/Password. If you're getting the Flying Tera Type Pikachu you'll select Get via Internet instead.
Press A a couple of times to get passed the notices that pop up.
Enter the code.
Select the reward you are redeeming.
A small cutscene will follow showing a present falling from the sky and then opening. Once it's over, you'll have received whatever reward you claimed.
Free Pokémon stuff
We'll keep adding to this list and making updates as time goes on. When Pokémon Sword and Shield released new free rewards codes continued to release for several months. So there will likely be additional gifts for Scarlet and Violet as well.

In-game, open the menu and select “Poké Portal.” Select “Mystery Gift” from the menu. Select “Get with Code/Password” from this menu. Input the code “GETY0URMEW” — note that the “o” is a zero.
Yeah your ride mon is stuck in the game permanently sadly, only way people will trade you a koraidon is for a miraidon or use sandwiches to hunt shiny violet paradox pokemon and trade for them 3 or 4 for koraidon will be enough for most.
To get Mewtwo in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, you need to defeat the legendary Pokémon in a seven-star Tera Raid Battle. Once you have defeated the powerful Psychic-type foe, you will be given the chance to catch Mewtwo to keep for your own use, along with the Mightiest Mark.
To do this, simply go to the Mystery Gift in-game menu while connected to the internet and enter the password "GETYOURMEW" before September 18. Each Mew's Tera Type, nature, and moves will be different to reflect the Mythical Pokémon's flexible capabilities.
As cited in the official Pokémon Scarlet and Violet website, the Mystery Gift code for the free Darkrai is “NEWM00N1SC0M1NG”. Codes used in the Mystery Gift never contain the letters I, O, or Z, as stated in the official website and, as such, O is substituted by zero, while I is exchanged for one.
