Royal Arms Locations

Royal Arms are some of the most powerful weapons in the game. There are 13 Royal Arms and each of them are hidden in Royal Tombs around the map.

Sword of the Wise

Description
A king built a mighty wall and protected the realm. This was his sword. It devastates foes with preemptive warp-strikes.

The Sword of the Wise is the first Royal Arm that Noctis will obtain as a part of the story in Chapter 2. It is found inside the Tomb of the Wise located in the northern part of Leide.

Axe of the Conqueror

Description
A king performed great feats of arms, expanded his realm, and made his people prosper. This was his halberd. It wreaks havoc with slow but mighty blows.

The Axe of the Conqueror is another storyline Royal Arm that is also acquired in Chapter 2. It is found inside Keycatrich Trench, also located in the northern part of Leide.

Bow of the Clever

Description
A king was versed in myriad arts both martial and intellectual. This was his crossbow. The bearer skewers foes while flitting around the battlefield.

The Bow of the Clever is an optional Royal Arm found in Balouve Mines located in the southern part of Leide.

Swords of the Wanderer

Description
A king was quick like the wind and went where no man had gone before. These were his blades. Apart they rain fury-together they delivered thundering blows.

The Swords of the Wanderer is the third Royal Arm that is obtained while following the storyline quests during Chapter 3. It is found in the Greyshire Glacial Grotto.

Blade of the Mystic

Description
A king rose to protect the world with the Oracle. This was his sword. When swung, it enhances the wielders prowess.

The Blades of the Mystic is the fourth storyline Royal Arm and is obtained in Chapter 4. It is found at the Disc of Cauthess.

Star of the Rogue

Description
A queen spurned the public eye and took to the shadows. This was her shuriken. From near and far, it traces deadly arcs to the left and right.

The Star of the Rogue is another optional Royal Arm found in Myrlwood in the north-western part of Cleigne.

Sword of the Tall

Description
A king was built like a mountain, towering over all others. This was his greatsword. The resonating blade rips and tears through foes.

The Sword of the Tall is an optional Royal Arm obtained in Costlemark Tower after it was stolen from the Tomb of the Tall. The Tomb of the Tall is located in the south-eastern part of Duscae while the Costlemark Tower is located northeast of the tomb. Costlemark Tower is magically sealed during the day and can only be entered at night.

Shield of the Just

Description
A queen devoted herself to peace and was loved by all. This was her shield. It deflects blows and bolsters recovery when raised in defense.

The Shield of the Just is an optional Royal Arm found inside the Tomb of the Just located at Thommel's Glade.

Mace of the Fierce

Description
A king was gentle before his people but an ogre on the battlefield. This was his mace. It deals crippling blows to mighty foes.

The Mace of the Fierce is another optional Royal Arm found at the top of Rock of Ravatogh.

Scepter of the Pious

Description
A king ruled the realm according to divine law and worked hand in hand with the Oracle. This was his staff. It smites foes with a blade of light.

The Scepter of the Pious is found in Malmalam Thicket and can be obtained during the main quest in Chapter 6 where Noctis will receive a side quest to visit it. Since it is a side quest, you can still choose to leave it for now.

Trident of the Oracle

Description
A strong and noble woman was loved by the world. She granded succor to the stars and brought man and god together. This was the trident of her line. It makes allies of the wielder's holograms.

The Trident of the Oracle is a storyline Royal Arm obtained at the end of Chapter 12.

Katana of the Warrior

Description
A king was changed forever when his beloved queen was taken from him prematurely. This was his katana. It is drawn and strikes in a single heartbeat.

The Katana of the Warrior is another Royal Arm obtained as part of the story at the end of Chapter 10.

Sword of the Father

Description
A king was father to the Chosen One, and nurtured the light that would shine upon all creations. This was his mighty sword. It makes the great greater.

The Sword of the Father is the last storyline Royal Arm and is obtained during Chapter 13.
